VISUAL DESIGN, MOBILE APP DESIGN
4 Voice Mobile App Design
In this case study, my role was designing the user interfaces for a new company called 4Voice a hosted application. 4Voice’s services run on systems and networks designed with reliability as the primary focus.
Challenges:
Very small tight deadline for execution. A lot of other phone app competitors like Skype, WhatsApp, and more. Very ambitious business goals. Develop user interface standards, conceptualize and champion the importance of user-centered design.
Goals:
Create a design flow and branding color scheme. Design a simple and effective dashboard. Give users a great visual look and flow. Increase downloads. Understanding business objectives, functional requirements, and technology constraints. Design principles may include responsive/adaptive design and consistent/intuitive end-to-end experience.
Services:
User Interface, Hosted Application
Tools:
Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Craft, Invision
UX Process
Step 1. Research
I created a mood board to embody the feelings I wanted to convey with the app. The following words describe the design.
User Interviews
Competitive Analysis
Personas
Storyboards
Communication
Integrity
Reliable
Intelligence
Step 2. Information Architecture
Card Sorting
Concept Sketching Systems/ Process flow
Sitemaps
Creating multiple variations of wireframes will help visualize the product, find pain points and the right design mindset, and understand the functionality and aesthetics of the product, we worked together on the team to deeply understand the entire process of the App, from the login screen, dashboard, test callings screens, messages to voice mail, and settings for the entire product.
Step 3. Interaction Design
We looked for usage patterns comparing the existing research.
Task Flows
User Flows
Wireframes
Responsive Design
Prototyping
Step 4. User Interaction Design
This is a very strong field, after creating a digital brand guideline we scale down multiple versions of sketches, and we start analyzing the brand to create consistency throughout the current brand with the future prototype.

Step 5.
Iteration
Making sure the product is tested and design elements are refined, finally coming out with qualitative feedback from the team, to move to the next stage, resolving more pain points, and validating the final product.

Usability Testing
Affinity Mapping
Step 6. Implementation
Finally after a lot of hard work, the testing we are able to launch. Here we show you an overview of The App Store available for iPhone.
